I was hired by the new owners of a laundromat in Ely, MN. Their ask was simple: make us stand out and for people to know we're a laundromat. The old logo and signage didn't make it obvious what their business was were from the road, and people passed by their place for the more noticeable laundromat down the street. Enter: Betty and some killer vintage-themed branding. I created her on the iPad in Procreate and then vectorized her in Illustrator for use on many applications, including future merch. I also developed a complete branding kit, created a storefront mockup, and designed a large banner that hangs on the side of their building and lets folks know what to expect. The owners have gotten many compliments on their new mascot and branding!
